The goals of the Operation
DWI/OBD (Operation Buckle Down)
Evaluation program are to reduce
the number of injuries and
fatalities caused by DWI, and to
increase use of seat belts and
child safety seats.

It is the responsibility of the
Carlsbad Police Department
to make decisions regarding
the safety and security of the
City of Carlsbad.  This is
partially accomplished
through various programs.
